    MSME Registration Procedure (Udyam Registration)

    Step 1
    Go to the Official Portal
    • Visit: https://udyamregistration.gov.in
    Step 2
    Choose Your Registration Type

    Click:

    • “For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered yet as MSME”
    • (If you have EM-II or UAM registration, select the respective option)
    Step 3
    Enter Aadhaar Number
    • Enter the Aadhaar number of the proprietor/partner/director.
    • Validate it using OTP sent to the mobile linked with Aadhaar.
    Step 4
    Enter PAN Details
    • Enter the PAN number of the business or individual (mandatory).
    • It will be verified from the Income Tax database.
    Step 5
    Fill Enterprise Details

    Provide the following:

    • Name of the enterprise
    • Type of organization (Proprietorship, Partnership, etc.)
    • Business address
    • Email ID and mobile number
    • Bank account details
    Step 6
    Select Business Activity
    • Choose main business activity: Manufacturing or Services
    • Select NIC Code(s) (National Industrial Classification) relevant to your business
    Step 7
    Enter Investment & Turnover

    Enter estimated:

    • Investment in plant & machinery
    • Annual turnover
      (System may auto-fetch data from ITR & GST in future)
    Step 8
    Submit and Verify with OTP
    • Submit the form
    • Verify with OTP sent to your mobile number
    Step 9
    Receive Udyam Registration Certificate
    • After successful submission, you will receive a Registration Number
    • The Udyam Registration Certificate will be issued online
    • You can download/print it from the portal

    Validity

    Udyam Registration is permanent and valid for lifetime

    No need for renewal (unlike earlier SSI/MSME certificate).
