    What is Producer Company?

    A Producer Company is a company formed by: 

    • Primary producers (farmers, artisans, fishermen, weavers, dairy farmers, etc.)
    • Who join together to carry out business activities like production, harvesting, procurement, processing, marketing, or export of primary produce.
    • Key features:
    • Must have 10 or more individual producers OR 2 producer institutions OR a combination of both.
    • Registered as a body corporate but works like a cooperative society.
    • Objects: Production, processing, harvesting, marketing, selling, exporting agricultural or related produce.

    Documents Required for a Producer Company

    For Directors / Members

    PAN card (mandatory)

    Aadhaar card

    Address proof (electricity bill, etc.)

    Passport-size photograph

    Email ID and mobile number

    Digital signature (DSC)

    Documents Required for a Producer Company

    For Registered Office

    Rent agreement (if rented)

    No Objection Certificate (NOC) from owner

    Utility bill (electricity/water bill) not older than 2 months

    Registered Office Proof: and Company Related Documents

    PRODUCER COMPANY REGISTRATION PROCEDURE, STEP BY- STEP

    Step:-1
    Digital Signature Certificates (DSC)

    Obtain DSC for all proposed directors.

    Step:-2
    Director Identification Number (DIN)

    Apply DIN for all directors (if they don't already have it).

    Step:-3
    Name Approval

    The name of a Producer Company is approved through SPICE+ Part A on the MCA portal. As per the Companies Act, 2013, the proposed name must mandatorily end with, “Producer Company Limited.”

    Step:-4
    Drafting Documents

    Prepare:
    Memorandum of Association (MOA) with producer objects.
    Articles of Association (AOA).

    Step:-5
    Incorporation Forms

    • File SPICe+ Part B, including:

    • AOA
    • Declarations
    • Registered office proof
    Step:-6
    Verification and Approval

    After verification by the Registrar of Companies (ROC), the company will be approved.

    Step:-7
    Certificate of Incorporation

    Once approved, the ROC issues:

    • Certificate of Incorporation (COI)
    • Corporate Identification Number (CIN)
